We are a young family from the Quebec City area with a passion for small houses and cabins. We are general contractors in residential construction and renovation and we also have a workshop to build tiny houses on wheels.
Simon's the big dreamer behind cabane. As a child, he would marvel at the sight of little corners that could turn into a hideout, whether it was in a tree, in a fort under the snow or with the cushions of the couch at home!
As an adult, this side of him remained and motivated him to explore this niche in the construction industry.
Cabane's mission is to develop the tiny house market by making this sustainable, respectful and economical lifestyle (and pretty cute, let's face it!) accessible.

ÉNERGÉCO CONCEPT is a company based in the Laurentians that specializes in manufacturing energy‑efficient, 100% factory-built, prefab modular homes.
Thanks to continual investments in innovation and the improvement of its manufacturing processes, the company has enjoyed sustained growth since its inception in 2010.
Our concept incorporates most of the LEED for Homes requirements. The fact that they are placed on plots of land and comply with the “Sustainable Site Development” category means that all of the prefab modular homes that leave our factory qualify for LEED certification, even aspiring to Platinum level.

There are four primary types of prefab buildings. Standard prefab homes are much like stick-built homes, only built offsite. Prefab tiny homes are smaller wheeled living spaces, similar to RVs. Offices, studios, and bunkies are usually one room buildings used for work or extra sleeping, and usually don't have any plumbing. Guesthouses (or cabins, cottages, or ADUs) are similar to prefab homes but are usually made smaller to act as a second home, weekend getaway, in-law suite, or rental property. More details can be found in our Ultimate Guide to Buying a Prefab Home.
