We are Doug and Eden Heeringa, partners in marriage and business with a  passion for creativity, truth and love. We share our life with our children and animal friends in the woods of Muskoka. We enjoy the creative process of problem solving and watching our thoughts enter reality as physical products.

Lekker Studio is our design studio and workshop where we make attractive accessory buildings and other home and cottage products for people who desire modern design and quality.

Clean European design mixed with rugged construction built to withstand the rigors of Canada’s climate is what defines us.

Beauty, sustainability and ethical production are not at odds–they must all be considered to create something of true worth. Anything created at someone else’s expense is not beautiful and the manufacturing of disposable goods for short term benefit has robbed our natural resources and the human spirit for too long. We bear a responsibility to create timeless products that last.
